Job Title: Development Engineer

Reports to: Assistant Manager

Hours of work: 8am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, 8am – 4pm Friday

Location: M&H Plastics, London Road, Beccles, Suffolk, NR34 8TS

Job Purpose:

To develop new and existing tooling, materials and improve current processes, ensuring work is carried out effectively, efficiently and to the Company and Customer standards at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, quality and environment management.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive lines of communication to all development, shift personnel including peers, other departments and departmental Managers within the organisation and those outside.
  • Carry out administration and reporting as necessary.
  • Development of new or existing tools and processes.
  • Development of new or existing materials.
  • Comply with quality standards as set by the Company and to co-operate in both internal and external audits as required.
  • Tool changing and fault finding on all processes involved in injection moulding development and production.
  • Assist in training of new Injection technical staff.
  • Comply with quality standards as set by the Company.
